
Ntina Karydi
Managing director at Resilient Cities Catalyst
Konstantina Karidi is an expert in International Urban Policy and serves as the General Director of the Athens international office of the Resilient Cities Catalyst organisation, based in New York and Athens, as well as the Executive Vice President of the Climate Change Hub Greece. She has over 15 years of professional experience in designing and implementing public policies at national and international levels, monitoring and funding public-interest projects addressing urban risks and 21st-century developmental challenges, as well as skill development and change management. She has held senior management and advisory positions in Greece and abroad, both in local and central public administration, as well as in international organisations and non-profit entities with significant public outreach. She has extensive experience in civil society initiatives and networks. Recently, she has served as an advisor to the Mayor of Athens for European and International Relations (2013-2015), Deputy Director for Europe & the Middle East at the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities Network, and as an expert for the European Commission on the implementation of the European Urban Agenda. She is a member of the senior advisory board for Europe and Central Asia of the UNDRR – Making Cities Resilient 2030 initiative, as well as a board member of the European Fund for the Balkans Alumni. A political scientist and active citizen, she holds postgraduate and professional specialisation in global urban policy, public administration, and crisis management from University College London, Sorbonne Paris IV, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). She also volunteers as an advisor to new organisations and initiatives focusing on social empowerment and addressing the climate crisis.
